Afternoon Swimming

We’ve been attending swimming lessons in the afternoon this week. I say “we” very loosely. My son, Cole, attends and the rest of us sit and watch.

It started out with Cole and Noah attending. But that only lasted one day. My Noah Dean is a stubborn one. I bribed him into giving it a chance the first day. I told him if he didn’t like it, he didn’t have to go again. Mistake. Here are the reasons he didn’t like it

1. There are girls in his class.

2. He has to undress in front of the other boys in the locker room.

3. He just didn’t like it. (Even though he LOVES to swim)

So, ever since the first day, Cole has went alone. Which is fine by him. Swimming lessons for homeschool kids are only $1 if you are in Holland district. So we didn’t lose too much with Noah giving up.

This is what Noah does now during swimming lessons. Up and down the bleachers.

And it is HOT in there.

I’ll be glad when swimming lessons are done. The afternoons are the time I use to get my things done and play on the computer a little. But we just finished our homeschool year yesterday (YAY!!!), so I’ll have a little bit more time on my hands in the morning.

I like to be home. Have I ever said that before? I don’t like to have to go somewhere everyday. I resent it a little. But it only lasts 2 weeks. I will survive.

On a totally different note- I had the TV on A & E late last night while working on my blog. I fell in love. Have you guys seen the show Duck Dynasty? I was literally laughing out loud. I love the characters and the whole feel of the show. A & E has a great one on their hands with that show. They are running a marathon next Wednesday and I am going to record all the shows so I can catch up.

Check it out!

We should be heading to the Perry house this week to decide on the property lines along the back. I will keep you updated!

  1. Yay for finishing school and a little more freedom! :)

Duck Dynasty sounds fun, I think. Maybe I can join you. :)
