Tulip Time History

877

This isn’t a post about the history of Tulip Time and were it originated. Sorry to disappoint you. Instead it’s a look at some old pictures of the time we spent at the Tulip Time parade. The big one on Saturday.

I thought it would be appropriate to take a look at the previous years since the parade is coming up on Saturday. How we looked, what the weather was like, what we were doing.

Here are some pictures from last year. Looks like it was not too cold but maybe a little wet-

Nobody does Tulip Time like the DeWitts. We set our humongous tarps out the night before and reserve our front row seats right on the main street. We have parking all figured out so we don’t have any trouble finding a spot and we don’t have to walk far. There is a certain science to enjoying Tulip Time here in Holland and we have it down.

Here are some from 2010-

It looked pretty cold.

2009 looked much better-

And 2008- It looked warm!

The ladies always go down to JPs and get some form of coffee. The boys have camped right on the tarp the night before the big parade. Literally. Sleeping in a tent on the tarp to keep our spot. I think they are planning to this year too. They’re crazy.

Who knows how the weather will be this year!

We always have a huge group and we always have tons of fun. If you are going down for the parade come join us….or at least stop by and say HI!

No news from the realtor. I’m calling again today.

  3. Whoo-hoo! The Big Parade! Family, friends, food. Loved looking back, Angie. And, much as I love the current one, we need a new "girls" picture for the mantle.
