My Dad & Perry House Shed

Tomorrow is my dad’s birthday and I couldn’t go without posting about him.

He is quite the crack-up.

He is usually doing something funny in pictures.

My dad is a farmer and still lives in the house I grew up in. I love going to visit him.

He is one of the most genuine people I know. He has a silly sense of humor and always has me cracking up. He’s been through some trials in his life but has come out of them unscathed and better because of them. He’s generous, and kind, and all together just fun to be around.

Happy Birthday Dad!

The house on Perry Street has an interesting, old shed-type building behind it. Now, I’m a sucker for old buildings. Right away when I saw it I had two thoughts:

#1- I wonder what old treasures are inside of it?

#2- That would look great to use as a backdrop for photography!

Here are some pictures so you can get an idea of what it looks like. I didn’t take any real GREAT shots of it-

When we looked at the house, it was cold and snow was knee deep. Otherwise I probably would’ve ventured inside the building.

It’s not in great shape. It’s longer than a typical shed. I wonder what the building was built for…hhmmm.

So, should it stay or should it go? We will be needing an outbuilding like this to store our pop-up camper and lawn mower and things. But will this do the job? I will definitely need to ransack it before anything is decided. See if I can find any hidden gems (i.e. old wood anything, old bottles, furniture). Should we tear it down and build something newer and more reliable and fitting to our needs? I’m quite torn.

What are your thoughts? Let me know.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

p.s. Please pray that I have the energy and drive to get a lot done this weekend. I did NOTHING yesterday because of being hit by that pesky flu bug. F.Y.I- If you feel the stomach flu coming on- drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (while plugging your nose). Works like a charm!
