Birthday Wishes

We had quite a party this past weekend. It was a lot of fun and spending time with family was great. The food was good and everything went smoothly. I did almost all of the prep the night before, so very little had to be done Saturday morning. The red velvet cake was a little dry, but that was my fault, not the recipe’s. On allrecipes.com I found a quick and easy recipe for chocolate cupcakes. It contained mayonnaise and strawberry jam. Weird, right? But they were good.

Today is my firstborn’s birthday. I can’t believe Ethan is ELEVEN years old! I don’t feel old enough to have an eleven year old. But I believe it every time I look in the mirror!

It’s been so fun to see Ethan come into his own. He has a servant’s heart and is always willing to help out when needed. He is in his glory when he is surrounded by family members. He obeys the rules and helps to keep his brothers in line (maybe a little too much sometimes). I love learning what his interests are and seeing him gain some independence. He has quite a sense of style! Here are some pictures from the party.

(I caught my youngest and his cousin wrestling or something in this one)

Here is an old picture of E. One of my favorites actually-

I would say he is 4 or 5 in this picture. What a cutie! And he still is Smile

Happy Birthday Ethan! We love you.

More ideas for the house on Perry tomorrow.
