Free PS Class & Chalk Paint

For those of you that have some form of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements- this is for you.

Have you heard of Jessica Sprague? She is an amazing digital crafter. And she is offering a free online class called Top 5 Photoshop Techniques Everyone Should Know. You should check it out. It is going on this week. But the best part is that you can do it at your own pace. Just log in at any time and follow along. It doesn’t have to happen this week necessarily.

Another thing.

I am picking up the materials to attempt to make my own chalk paint. Have you heard the hype about Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint? Apparently it is amazing stuff. No need to prime or sand a piece of furniture. And you can distress the piece very easily afterwards.

I am attempting to make my own because her paint is MEGA expensive.

I found this tutorial online.

I am impatient and don’t want to go on a hunt to find calcium carbonate or whiting powder. I know what Plaster of Paris is and where to find it. So that is what I will be using.

We will see how it goes. This is what my trial run will be on-

I’ll give you a hint. It will be bright!

Maybe I will accomplish it today….but I doubt it.

Hot humid temperatures and baseball games may inhibit any progress.

But we are close to the end of baseball. Yay.

Stay tuned!
