Breakfast of Champions

I’ve been trying to make better food choices. This has been my breakfast on a few mornings. Most days I’ll have just the smoothie. This is great after a workout. (for all those wondering, I quit Insanity and started running instead)


Here’s the dealio-

Breakfast burrito

1 tortilla (preferably wheat)

1 regular scrambled egg sprinkled with Lawry’s seasoned pepper and salt.

4-5 fresh spinach leaves

1/4 cup of Fantastic Dip

Can of Mexican corn

Can of black beans- drained

Chopped purple onion

Chopped tomato

Chopped avocado

Chopped green pepper

Good Seasons Italian dressing (comes in a packet and mix it with oil and vinegar)

Mix all together & put dressing on it. Best eaten fresh.


My base is always a Bolthouse Farms juice.


I love them because they are all natural and full of vitamins and good stuff. I also found a great sale on them a while back. Buy one get one free. They have lots of varieties and I like to switch it up and try different flavors.

I use 1/4 of this bottle for one smoothie.

I put in a splash of milk.

Ice cubes.

1/2 banana (sometimes a whole)

Frozen berries (usually blueberry or strawberry)

A handful of fresh spinach leaves

Sometimes 3-4 baby carrots

And 1 1/2 scoops of protein powder


So very filling and a great way to start your day!

  2. Yum!!! All sounds good! Never thot to put the dip in with eggs!!! I'll have give that one a try. We love green smoothies...ok, wel...I love them. Trying to get B1 & B2 to drink them before swim team. Not working so well.
