Bringing Spring

I am really looking forward to Spring this year. As I believe we all are.

My window chalkboard has had a winter poem on it since the beginning of January.

I thought it was time to change that.

I found a spring poem by Robert Frost and quickly chalked it up there before everyone arrived for our birthday party on Saturday.

Winter....

....into Spring.

All of the colors in this area are very similar. I've never found the perfect thing to fill the empty space on the window frame. I wanted a pop of color. What I was really wanting was some pretty budding twigs in a vase. But instead I used what I had on hand. I thought back to my first crafting days when I had a booth to sell things at a craft sale. I used to make hanging bud vases with pretty bottles and metal wire. I got those out of a box and put the only fake flowers I could find inside it and hung it up.

Yesterday I was looking at it and thinking it still wasn't enough color.

I saw a friend pin this on Pinterest and thought it was the perfect thing. Mostly because I already had everything I needed- twine, pretty tape and scissors.

Hers was a lot prettier than mine. But at least I added a little bit of color and a little more 'Spring' to my step and my house!

(I think I may need to add a few more 'pieces' to my banner!)

How are you bringing Spring?
