Entry Room

This is the first room I started cleaning yesterday. It was the dumping ground for EVERYTHING. It feels so good to walk into the house and have it clean now.

I should have taken a before picture, but I didn't.

This is how it looks now.

It still has the ugly trim, dingy walls and gross linoleum.
Here are some of my hopes for the room down the road a little ways.

I want to do this to the closet doors.

I would like to do this to the wall you face when you first come in.

And I want to scour my dad's farm to find old unusable crates to use for it like this-

On the wall with the bench I would like to do something like this-

And I would like to get rid of that ugly bench and make this from Ana White-

Plus paint all the trim white, get a new front door and door to the garage (because they are regular INTERIOR doors and don't keep the cold out), and put down tile flooring.

I'd also like to make this but slightly smaller-

I love the idea of having your week organized and written out on a large scale like that.
Thanks for looking!

  1. So exciting! I can see all those ideas looking fabulous in your space. I especially like the hooks and the blackboard.
