Halloween Costumes

We had one Ninja, Snake Eye from G.I. Joe, a clown, the grim reaper, and one very bad dog.

I was a zombie from the 50's.

I did the makeup for the lovely clown. I found some inspiration photos online. I followed a youtube video for good tips and an overall design found here.

I used face paint and some eye makeup too. I sketched the whole design with an eyeliner pencil. Then filled it in with the paint. It took about 20 minutes to do.

Pretty scary, right?

For me, it started with the hair. I had practiced these Victory Rolls already but wasn't very successful. It went better but still not quite right. I figured I'd go with it since I was zombie and looking strange would fit.

I decided to roll the back too. I added a flower for a little interest.

 This was my creation station.

I moved on to my makeup. I tried to go for an authentic 50's look- strong eyebrows, dark lips and cat eyes. I added lashes for fun.

Now to add the zombie.
I already knew how to do some zombie things. I made Ethan into a zombie Grandma last year.
But then I watched another youtube video and I liked what this girl did. So I used oatmeal to make my flesh wounds even better.

And the look was complete.

I think I love Halloween a little too much. But it's so much fun.

Have a great weekend!
