Colorful Backdrop

I worked on a project for my church and thought I would share it with anyone who might be interested.

This Sunday we are celebrating all of our graduates. I was asked to make a photo booth for the graduates to get a picture in front of, if they wanted.

I had been wanting to make a photography prop that I saw from the very talented photographer, Sue Bryce. It is very simple to make.

You need to go to your local home improvement store and pick up a
1 1/2x4x8 sheet of polystyrene. It is an insulation product, I think. You also need a 2x4 about 5-6 feet long and four metal shelving brackets. Cut the 2x4 board in half.

Here's a picture of how it looks put together.

(I realize this is not a 2x4 but I have lots of free scrap wood so I used that instead)

Sue Bryce used it as a reflector for photography but you can use it however you like. You could paint it. You could cover it with fabric. You could put cute wallpaper on it.

I decided to use construction paper.

And here is a test phone picture of a very short graduate.

Thanks for looking!
